Auto Close Project

Introduce an Auto Close option for projects, allowing projects to close automatically after their end date has passed.

This would reduce the need for users to manually close projects once the work period has ended.

Problem Statement
Projects currently need to be closed manually. Where teams are managing multiple active projects, this can mean completed projects remain open longer than needed if users forget to close them.

This can make project records less accurate and create extra admin when reviewing current or historic work.

Suggested Improvement
Add an option to automatically close a project shortly after midnight following its end date.

For example, if a project ends on 1st March, it would close overnight and appear as closed by the morning of 2nd March.

The setting could be applied when creating a new project, or added to an existing project by editing the project details.
